This incredibly popular air conditioned catamaran is one of the most versatile in the bareboat charter industry. It caters to groups of varying sizes and can accommodate up to 12 guests in four queen cabins, 2 single forepeak berths (accessed through hatches in the bow), and 1 or 2 more guests can sleep on the convertible saloon table.

She's perfect for a large family or group of friends wanting to make use of all available space and is also ideal for just 4 couples who enjoy their friends, but truly appreciate their own space. The forepeak berths make a great storage area for luggage and any extra gear you may want to bring along.

As with most of the larger Lagoon models, the 450 features a flybridge helm that has become the standard by which most other modern catamarans are judged. The helm is flanked by an expanded seating area, with sun pads forward of the helm station, making this another social gathering area. All aboard can take advantage of and appreciate the the fabulous, 360 degree visibility the flybridge affords.

In addition to converting the helm into a larger social center, the newly configured flybridge with integrated stairs on both sides of the yacht, has made way for a very spacious aft cockpit with much more lounging and storage space than was found on the original Lagoon 440. An overhead hatch in the hard top bimini is another nice addition. You can open the hatch to allow more light and air circulation into the cockpit area or close it should it rain.

Another really popular feature is the forward cockpit/lounge located just aft of the trampoline. This space has also been redesigned and serves as an open air lounge space, ideal for socializing, tanning, enjoying the fabulous view, a good book, the refreshing sea breeze, and a nice cold beverage.

The designers also tweaked the sailplan and the mast height has been substantially increased from 70'3" (on the standard 440) to 75'8". This has provided sufficient power to drive the yacht along at a respectable pace ... even in light winds of less than 10 knots.

The interior of this catamaran has been just as well considered as the exterior. Upon entering the main saloon through the sliding glass door, you'll note there are no steps up or down. Rather there is a seamless transition to the interior space. With the galley window open, the entire cockpit and main saloon become one extra large entertainment space. With this marvelously open concept layout, nobody is left out of the conversation.

The galley, which is handily situated directly adjacent to the dining area, makes both cooking and serving a pleasure. Your cook will remain included in your group conversation and doesn't have to take a single step to serve the meal. Just hand out the plates to whomever is seated at the table, and you're done!

Below decks, all aboard will enjoy their privacy as each cabin sleeps two in air conditioned comfort. A private en suite head with shower and plenty of storage space rounds out this very intelligently and intuitively designed yacht.

Note: Sailing lessons (level 114) are available aboard this yacht. Candidates must already possess ASA level 104 bareboat certification.

Note: The minimum charter period over Christmas or New Years is 7 nights. A sleep aboard is not considered a charter day.

Bareboat charter rates displayed do not include:
BVI Cruising Tax, NPT daytime mooring fees, yacht insurance, hired crew costs, cell phone rental, security deposit, V.I.S.A.R. donation or prior night sleep aboard fees.

Prices indicated are for 7 nights aboard and all charters begin and end at 12:00 noon. Please note that Ariadne is not available during hurricane season from: September 1 to 30.

Until you request a "hold" be placed on the yacht (and we confirm), availability cannot be guaranteed. A deposit in the amount of 50% of the gross charter fee is required within 5 days of placing your hold.

Standard bareboat equipment

Free on board Wi-Fi.
Pots & pans, dinnerware, glassware and cutlery are provided in quantities matching the capacity of this yacht.
Towels, bed linens and snorkel gear are supplied for all aboard. Beach towels are not provided.
Small first aid kit, binoculars, navigational tools, small chart and a cruising guide to the Virgin Islands.
Life jackets are supplied for all aboard. However, if you will have a toddler or very small child aboard, it would be wise to bring a zip up life jacket to Tortola as small life jackets are in very limited supply and fit is not guaranteed.
A starter kit including 1 toilet roll per head, small hand soaps, 1 roll of paper towels, dish liquid, all-purpose cleaner, 1 sponge, 3 Handi Wipes, 2 small and 2 large trash bags, matches, and 4 bags of ice are provided. Once the starter kit has been used, you are responsible for all consumable items.

Notes about hired crew

Accommodations suitable for your captain: Midships bunk cabin | quarter berth cabin | double or queen cabin.
You may also assign an adult forepeak berth provided the crew have clear access to a head (bathroom) that does not require entering a private cabin occupied by members of your party.
If your group is of a size that requires the use of open berths such as an open midships berth or saloon table conversion, please designate members of your party to fill those spaces.
Please note that a captain is hired at your request and is non-cancellable less than 91 days prior to the start of your charter. Should you wish to cancel a crew member 90 days or less prior to your charter start date, the full crew fee will will become due and payable.
