Bella
Lagoon 450 F | Catamaran - 2019
Name: Bella | Air Conditioned
Bella is Italian for “beautiful” … and this lovely 4 cabin cat lives up to her name! She was designed to be a “social” cruising yacht, with several distinct areas for bareboat charter guests to congregate while under sail or at anchor.
All aboard, from toddlers to oldsters will appreciate her wide side decks with recessed hatches that reduce tripping hazards and drainage gunnels to keep the decks as dry as possible. Well placed, stainless steel handrails on the coach roof provide an easy passage fore and aft.
At the bow, the trampolines are always popular with kids of all ages, but the sunken forward cockpit with lounge cushions provides a somewhat more stable area to bask in the sun, enjoy the marvelous Caribbean tradewinds, and perhaps indulge yourself with an ice-cold fruit smoothie!
The flybridge is spectacular on the Lagoon 450 F, with loads of room for the whole crew to keep your captain company. All lines lead aft and the two electric winches make single handing and sail handling easy-peasy. There’s also an electric anchor winch control at the helm to help make your captain’s life that much easier. Two large sun pads are located directly ahead of the helm in the center of the coach roof and all areas (including the aft cockpit roof) are 100% non-skid, making moving around this catamaran a lot safer than some other models. You’ll enjoy excellent visibility from the helm and even those who may be vertically challenged can easily see the bow pulpits.
In the aft cockpit, you’ll find respite from the sun, plenty of lounge space and several creature comforts to help make sailing the BVI a pure joy.
The dining table comfortably seats 6, with an overhead hatch for additional ventilation when the Caribbean tradewinds die down. The built-in cockpit refrigerator is handy for storing cold beverages and keeping folks out of the galley while the cooks do their thing. The refrigerator is augmented by an additional built-in, self-draining cooler located between the dining table and the galley and yet another moveable cooler that doubles as a bench seat.
Overhead LED lighting employed throughout the yacht helps to reduce the draw on your house batteries ... and of course, you'll find stereo speakers throughout so you won't miss a beat of that Bob Marley mood music.
Your dinghy is easily lowered and raised on the davits by the dedicated dinghy winch and access to and from your dinghy and the water is super easy via the large swim platforms. Bella's swim ladder is located on the starboard sugar scoop.
Her interior presents a clean and straight forward design with a large salon for lounging and dining. Your freezer is located on the right, just inside the large sliding glass doors. The galley has been reconfigured so that it now faces starboard for easier access to the salon as well as the cockpit. You'll find everything you'll need to prepare meals including two sinks, a blender, toaster, microwave, 3 burner stove, fridge, and regular oven. Naturally, dinnerware, cutlery, glassware, and cookware are provided.
Note: Sailing lessons (level 114) are available aboard this catamaran. Candidates must already possess ASA level 104 bareboat certification.
All 4 cabins aboard this lovely catamaran are very comfortable and have irregular queen sized berths, hanging closets, multiple opening hatches, fans, and a private head with separate shower.
