Luffing Out Loud
Lagoon 380 | Catamaran - 2013
Name: Luffing Out Loud
With more than 700 built thus far, this stalwart of the charter industry has long been a favourite of sailors from around the world. She's reliable, sturdy, well designed and though not luxurious, she is more than comfortable.
This little cat is the baby of the Lagoon range and probably the smallest available in the BVI bareboat charter market that can sleep up to 8 guests.
Her raised helm is immediately adjacent to the cockpit and is designed to seat two. Your captain will find that all lines are within easy reach, and there is great forward and aft visibility, making single handing a breeze. The helm is directly accessible from either the cockpit or the port side deck.
Large sugar scoops and nice, wide side decks make for clear egress fore and aft with quick and easy access to your dinghy or the water.
Her interior is beautifully airy with loads of natural light, excellent ventilation and very nearly 360 degree visibility from the main salon. You'll enjoy the comfy settee and dinette for lounging, playing games, socializing, dining or curling up with a good book.
The aft facing galley is small but workable with a double sink, 3 burner stove with oven below and front opening fridge located beside the settee. Though counter space is in short supply, the interior and exterior dining tables handily substitute as food prep areas.
Open the pass through window (in front of the sink) and adjacent sliding glass door to create a seamless, indoor/outdoor living space for all to enjoy. To port of the sliding glass door, you'll find a well equipped navigation station with chart table that doubles as a computer desk, allowing you and all aboard to make good use of her free, onboard Wi-Fi connection.
Each cabin with double berth enjoys good light and ventilation as well as a surprising amount of storage and hanging locker space. Central to the 2 cabins in each hull is the reasonably sized head with sink and shower.
Smaller catamarans that sleep 8 are always busy, so be sure to book your sailing vacation early to avoid disappointment. Give yourselves about 6 to 8 months lead time throughout the year and at least 10 to 12 months if wishing to sail the British Virgin Islands over Christmas or New Years.
Note: Sailing lessons (level 114) are available aboard this yacht. Candidates must already possess ASA level 104 bareboat certification.
