French Maid

Jeanneau SO 509 - 2012

Sailboat Name: French Maid | Air Conditioned

This yacht is loaded to the gunwales! The very fortunate owner of this gorgeous yacht has spared no expense when outfitting "French Maid". She's got it all ... with electric everything and all top of the line gear! She's another cruiser class sailboat that is anything but "standard".

Euro styling seems to be the new normal for many production cruising boats these days. She sports a low, sleek profile, flat coach roof, recessed hatches, nice wide decks and a wide beam carried much further aft than her predecessors.

The Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 509 offers a lovely, spacious cockpit with push button, drop down transom, revealing an extra large swim platform, dual helm, comfortable seating and a full dodger and bimini ... very nice!

Below decks, this boat really shines. Aft you'll find two spacious cabins, queen sized berths with ample hanging locker and storage space. These two cabins share a head with shower. The forward cabin offers up a queen sized island berth, loads of storage and hanging locker space, a dressing table that doubles as a computer desk and private head with separate shower compartment.

Her T-shaped galley offers a good amount of counter space, double sink, 3 burner stove and oven, front and top opening fridge, separate chest freezer and a microwave. And just in case that isn't enough, there is a second refrigerator as well! Two can easily work the galley without tripping over one another as a separate prep area (beside the settee) has been provided and the sink may be used from either work station.

There's oodles of lounging space in the main salon and plenty of room for all at the dinette. In a pinch, the hi/low, folding dinette is convertible should you wish to invite an additional friend or two to join you.

At the end of the day, you really won't find many three cabin monohulls offering this kind of luxury, anywhere in the BVI! She's absolutely lovely.

Note: ASA Sailing lessons (levels 101, 103 and 104) are available aboard this yacht. Candidates must be at least 12 years of age or over to acquire bareboat certification.
