If you have access to a car or a taxi, this is one place you shouldn't miss when visiting Virgin Gorda. If you're lucky, you'll get to meet Blondie, the owner seen in the main photo. He's a terrific guy (always smiling) and pours a mean drink too. The food is wonderful, the service is usually very good, the prices are quite reasonable ... and the views are absolutely spectacular! In fact, on a clear day and if you squint, you can actually see Anegada in the distance. Considering Anegada is only 28' above sea level at the highest point and is a long way off, that's really quite remarkable.
I am amazed at the quality of food they manage to put out of their tiny little kitchen. If you love BBQ'd ribs, do yourselves a favour and be sure to try them here! They are melt-in-your-mouth delicious! I also love their coleslaw, potato salad and the conch chowder. Their burgers and fries are pretty good and my family are partial to their fried chicken as well.
The entire North Sound can be clearly seen from the lovely deck that surrounds the restaurant. You can see the whole thing and you'll get a great bird's eye view of Moskito Island, Colquhoun Reef, Necker Island, Eustatia, Prickly Pear, Saba Rock, Leverick Bay ... and you can even see Pajeros Point at the northernmost tip of the island.
Hog Heaven has rapidly become one of my favourite restaurants on Virgin Gorda ... and it sure doesn't hurt that the views are incomparable to anywhere else in the BVI. The view and the fresh air does wonders for the appetite. If you order the ribs, be sure to bring a good healthy appetite. I have never once been able to finish my whole plate yet. They give you a very healthy serving!
If I have any complaints at all about Hog Heaven, I would say that on a sunny or rainy day, you are very exposed and there are few places to stay out of the sun or rain when the bar is busy.

Directions
This is not a place you can walk to. If visiting the North Sound, take a taxi from Leverick Bay or Gun Creek ... whichever is closest.
If driving and coming from Spanish Town, take the North Sound Road until you reach the split in the road, just past Savannah Bay Beach where the road forks left and right.
Stay left and follow the road all the way around the western shore (past Nail Bay) and up Fanny Hill Road to Hog Heaven. You can't miss it as it is the only building around for quite a distance. It's a small green building overlooking the North Sound. A little pink pig windmill is on the opposite side the road.
