Few eateries in the British Virgin Islands rival those found on Virgin Gorda and CocoMaya is probably my number one pick of them all. But that's not to say that there aren't others that are thoroughly delightful as well. This is actually my personal favourite of all the beach bars and restaurants in the islands. I can highly recommend it!

As the saying goes, the devil is in the details and this is a "beach bar & restaurant" like no other. From the tip of the thatched roof to the elegant travertine and faux hardwood tile floors, this restaurant is quite simply, exquisite.
As you enter from the parking lot, you'll find the gated Boulder Beer Garden to the left of the front entrance. This is a wonderful place to host a small to medium sized cocktail party if celebrating a birthday, anniversary, wedding, vow renal or any other special event.

Move inside and you'll discover a well stocked and intimate bar area with a marvelous sea view. The bar features lovely teak stools with a swing seat dangling over the beach.
On your way from the bar to the restaurant, you'll pass this marvelous (and lovingly pruned) ivy covered wall. Actually, it may not be an ivy ... but it's certainly lovely. As I said, the devil is in the details. Very nice touch in bringing the outdoors in!

The open air dining room is clean, simple and straight forward. Dried Liana vines hang vertically and serve as intriguing room dividers, lovely teak tables, comfortable chairs and of course a marvelous view of the beach.
Upstairs is a private dining area which can be rented for special occasions with seating for up to 16 people. Sorry, I didn't get a photo. :(
Just outside the bar is a small stage for entertainment and an outdoor lounge complete with sofas, chairs, lounge chairs, coffee tables and a lovely fire pit.

The Asian-Latin fusion menu is excellent. I'm sure you'll find something for everyone. I am a rather picky eater and I found several things I liked very much. Prices are reasonable ... if somewhat high, but I think the food, excellent service and stunning atmosphere are well worth it. If going in a group, you'll want to order a dish for each person and share.
You have to try the CocoMaya roll, shrimp lettuce wraps, chicken satay, ribs and their wings! Oh my goodness ... they are all yummy! Of these, my favourite was the shrimp lettuce wraps. Absolute perfection!
