The restaurant and its open air kitchen are located right on the water's edge at Village Cay Hotel & Marina.
The hotel is a handy place to stay the night before or after your
bareboat charter as it is close to all the major grocery stores, several yacht charter companies and (if you've packed lightly) it's about a 10 minute walk to the Road Town Ferry Terminal. If you haven't packed lightly, it would be best to take a taxi.
If planning to stay on Tortola more than one night, there are other hotels I would recommend that might have more amenities (a beach for instance) in the same price range or less.
The Dockside Restaurant is a popular spot for business people during the week and yacht charter staff from all the surrounding companies like to hang out at the bar after work. It's a great place to wind down from your travels, watch the boats come and go and enjoy a nice dockside meal.
There's a lovely little pool beside the bar where you can take a dip on a hot day and enjoy a nice cold drink at the same time.
The menu is pretty standard fare, with a mixture of north American and West Indian dishes available. Although the servers are generally pretty quick and quite pleasant, getting your meal can take some time. The food is good, if a little pricey. The location is great and central to everything in Road Town.
