This is primarily a self serve wine bar that also happens to serve great food!
Pick a wine, (soft drinks, beer and mixed drinks are also available) place your food order at the counter inside and that's all there is to it. They will deliver your meal to the table or call your name when your order is ready if you order take out.
Managers Colin Campbell and Ambeeka Glasgow (pictured below) will assist you in any way they can to select just the right South African wine from their very impressive selection. Wine is available by the glass or you may purchase a bottle and enjoy it in the outdoor garden or inside ... in air conditioned comfort. Their prices are reasonable and if you buy a bottle, you just pay a corkage fee if staying on the premises to enjoy it with your meal.
This is a very popular spot and is always busy at lunch time and happy hour. You'll find lots of business persons congregate here after work on any given day. I often pick up lunch on the run here when I am in town doing my chores.
Question: When is a BLT not “just” a BLT?
Answer: When you order the "Plan B" at The Watering Hole! I can't explain it and I can't describe it ... so you'll just have to take my word for it. If you enjoy a good bacon, lettuce and tomato sandwich, and if you like a little heat to your food, you will LOVE their BLT!
Warning: The Watering Hole's BLT has ruined that particular sandwich for me from anywhere else. Yes, it really is that good! The fabulous bread, outstanding blend of flavours together with the chipotle mayonnaise is truly marvelous. Just make sure you ask for your bacon crispy.
The menu includes Paninis, Salads and wraps and so far, I haven't found anything I don't particularly like ... other than the fish tacos with cilantro dressing. I don't eat fish and cilantro tastes like dirty sweat socks to me. Yuck! Their Cobb salad is wonderful!
They offer specials every night of the week. Monday and Wednesday are Tapas nights. If you don't know what tapas are, they are Spanish inspired canapés ... in other words, small portions of whatever is offered on the menu. They may be cold or hot and can be just about anything really. It's just a fancy word for "small portion" or sampling. You make a meal out of a bunch of tapas. No main course is offered.
Tuesday is curry night ... and oh my goodness it's good. But I have to be sure I am in the mood for "spicy". Their curry really is fabulous, but hot!
Thursday is burger night. Once again, I can't say enough about them. Their burgers are definitely in the running for "best burger on Tortola". The toppings available are outstanding!
And that leaves Friday night. Yup it's pizza night and it's definitely worth a stop. I can honestly say that I've never had a bad meal here and I give the place an enthusiastic two thumbs up. Try it, I'm pretty sure you'll love it. :)

The restaurant is located on the DeCastro Street extension near Scotia Bank, beside the Mill Mall and across the parking lot on the west side of Village Cay Marina.
It is a small white building located where the road turns. It is hard to see from the road as it is hidden by a hedge fence. You have to look through the breaks in the hedge to find it.
