Dockmasters Deli in Road Town on Tortola

Hidden on the west side of Village Cay Marina is the tiny Dockmasters Deli. They serve the most wonderful sandwiches, subs, soup of the day and quiche of the day. The selection is awesome!

Vegetarians will be thrilled as there are several tantalizing options just for them. They have a huge array of salads! You can choose pasta salad, cole slaw, 3 bean salad, roasted vegetable salad ... and the list goes on and on.

They also have what they call their "On The Run Salad Boxes" with all sorts of goodies including; honey chicken, jerk chicken or pork, crab, tuna, Mahi Mahi, Lamb chops, Greek salad, Caesar salad, etc.

If you are like me though ... the "Midtown Monster" (aka Pastrami on rye) is marvelous. I also love the Meatball Hero and the chicken parmesan sub. Ooooh and let's not forget the shaved corned beef on rye. It's yummy too. Drat, I wish I lived closer to Road Town. Now I'm hungry!

It's a great little spot to pick up a quick meal and they are always busy, so be prepared for a bit of a line up ... but the line moves along pretty quickly as the ladies are very adept at what they do.

I often stop here for a quick bite when I am doing my chores in town. It's fast, there's a nice breezy place to sit outside to enjoy your meal ... and the prices are quite reasonable as well.

For those who may be looking for our "Where's Waldo of the Caribbean" ... you've found him! That's none other than "Island Jim Kelly" scarfing down a sub in the main photo. I swear, I don't know how he stays so skinny! Every time I see him, he is eating. I would have joined him, but some of us have to work for a living! Keep looking, I am sure you'll find him elsewhere too!
