The design team of Marc Van Peteghem and Vincent Lauriot Prévost keep raising the "wow" factor for their new catamaran designs.
This is a revolutionary, innovative, spacious, comfortable and simply brilliant design! This sailboat packs a lot into just 44' and my guess is that in ten year's time, most catamarans based in Tortola will sport a rigid bimini with flybridge or a variation thereof.
Its about time sailors discovered what powerboaters have known for a very long time; visibility, comfort, and sensible use of space matter! Lagoon have borrowed concepts from their own powercat model to make this design one which still turns heads everywhere you go.
You will note that not only did they include a hard top bimini and flybridge, but they've added a forward cockpit and seating area as well! So where does your anchor chain get stored you may ask? Just open your forward cockpit table hatch and take a peak. These fellows are very clever indeed! Fenders are stored neatly away in the lazarettes located on either side of the forward cockpit.
The interior offers a straight forward, no nonsense layout, making optimal use of space while providing guests with an open plan and airy feel! Traditional, opening portholes are present in each cabin, but this model sports new, fixed (one way) port lights for ambient light and exterior views from below.
Sailing in the British Virgin Islands aboard this well designed cat is a pure joy ... and did I mention the spectacular visibility you will enjoy from your flybridge?
