Making travel arrangements for your BVI charter vacation is relatively simple. The main airport (Terrance B. Lettsome International) is located on Beef Island (EIS) which is connected to Tortola by a small, bridge.
The Beef Island Airport does not have the capacity for landing jumbo jets "yet", so as a result, there are currently no direct flights from mainland *anywhere* to the British Virgin Islands. However, there are four nearby Caribbean hubs you may fly into including:
in the U.S. Virgin Islands - Airport code: STT
Once at any of these hubs, there are a few airlines which fly to the British Virgin Islands including LIAT. For current information as to which airlines are serving the BVI, contact the BVI Tourist Board.
Should you be so inclined and depending upon the size of your party, you can organize a private air charter from any of the Caribbean Islands. Prices are similar to (but perhaps a little higher than) commercial airlines. Capacity is usually a maximum of 7 to 9 passengers.
There are many sites on the Internet offering flight bookings online. Here are a few of the best. We suggest you shop them all for best prices. Some offer great *last minute* deals.
