Peg Leg's Restaurant - Nanny Cay

The open air restaurant provides fabulous views of the Sir Francis Drake Channel and the outlying islands. Perched at the edge of the beach at the entrance to Nanny Cay Marina, Peg Leg's offers Caribbean and West Indian Fusion cuisine and has always been a popular spot for bareboat charter guests beginning or ending of their vacation.

Service is generally quite good but I have (at times) had to wait quite a while to be served, even when it wasn't particularly busy. This is pretty much the norm anywhere in the BVI.

I am quite partial to their jerk chicken wrap and chicken roti. Friends of mine swear by the fish and chips and order it pretty much every time we are there. From time to time, I have even been known to sample their conch fritters. Not my favourite food, but I liked them. Very tasty and not too doughy. Oh ... and the steak is very good too. On Sunday nights they usually offer prime rib which I have had once or twice and it was very enjoyable. I am not a fan of their seasoned french fries though.

The restaurant and bar get quite busy in season. As such, I recommend reservations during any holiday periods or if there is a major event taking place at the marina. It can also get very busy at happy hour as a lot of the staff from the various businesses based at Nanny Cay stop in after work for a few drinks.
