The North Sound is one of the major attractions to the British Virgin Islands. This little slice of heaven offers a wonderful anchorage and some of the finest resorts, restaurants and villas for rent in the territory. Its easy to see why many sailors choose to spend a couple of days here. There's lots to do for the whole family ... or, if you prefer, its a stunning place to just kick back, relax and enjoy Paradise!

Resorts, Restaurants & Villa Rentals

You'll find several outstanding resorts and restaurants including Biras Creek, Bitter End Yacht Club, Saba Rock (there's an island there somewhere!) and Leverick Bay Resort. (See map).

Nobody seems to know what is happening at Drake's Anchorage, a very cool little 10 room resort on Mosquito Island ... but hopefully it will reopen soon! There are several private villas for rent in North Sound too! There's nothing like your own private slice of heaven!

Things to Do

Try your hand at sailing a Sunfish or Hobie Wave, or perhaps go parasailing and soar above the North Sound, with Leverick Bay Watersports. There are a number of excellent snorkelling and scuba diving sites around Virgin Gorda. You may choose Sunchaser Scuba, (formerly known as Kilbrides Underwater Tours) or Dive BVI, both of whom have dive shops in the area and offer equipment rentals for your convenience.

Go hiking along the spectacular "Trail of Palms" on Mosquito Island, Gorda Peak National Park or walk the trail at Biras Creek or on Prickly Pear Island. Whatever you decide to do ... relax or go play, you'll have a great time here!
