Yacht Charters aboard the
Lagoon 440 *with Air Conditioning*
The design team of Marc Van Peteghem and Vincent Lauriot Prévost keep raising the "wow" factor for their new catamaran designs.
The Lagoon 440 is a revolutionary, innovative, spacious, comfortable and simply brilliant design! This sailboat packs a lot into just 44' and my guess is that in ten year's time, all charter catamarans based in Tortola will sport a rigid bimini with flybridge.
Its about time sailors discovered what powerboaters have known for a very long time; visibility, comfort, and sensible use of space matter! Lagoon have borrowed concepts from their own powercat 43 to make this new design one which will turn heads everywhere you go.
You will note that not only have Lagoon included a hard top bimini and flybridge on the 440, but they've added a forward cockpit and seating area as well! So where does your anchor chain get stored you may ask? Just open your forward cockpit table hatch and take a peak. These fellows are very clever indeed! Fenders are stored neatly away in the lazarettes located on either side of the forward cockpit.
The interior offers a straight forward, no nonsense layout, making optimal use of space while providing guests with an open plan and airy feel! Traditional, opening portholes are present in each cabin, but the Lagoon 440 sports new, fixed (one way) port lights for ambient light and exterior views of the BVI from below.
Sailing in the British Virgin Islands aboard this well designed catamaran will be a pure joy ... and did I mention the spectacular visibility you will enjoy from your flybridge?
