To enhance the enjoyment of your vacation, there are several companies who rent watersports equipment and water toys. Gear may be ordered ahead of time for delivery to your boat the morning your vacation is scheduled to begin.

Note: Minimum order value for free delivery of your rental equipment is $100.00 to $150.00 per week. Contact each company individually for more information about delivery fees, times of delivery, payment options, etc.

Notes on Fishing in the BVI:

In an effort to help preserve our marine environment and reduce the impact fishing has on our reef systems, we ask that you respect the following guidelines:

• Please do not fish in anchorages or in any of the National Parks areas.
• Beware of ciguatera poisoning. This is a very serious and potentially lethal disease, carried by many reef fish in the British Virgin Islands. We encourage the practice of "catch & release", unless with a guide who is aware which species, caught in which areas are safe for human consumption.
• Reduce speed to minimum or idle when you have a fish on the hook to ensure it is unharmed and safely returned to the water.
• Please be aware of other vessels and Windsurfers in the area. You are responsible for your line!

You must attain a license to fish in the British Virgin Islands!

Please contact the Ministry of Natural Resources at (284) 468-3701 extension 2147 for additional information regarding how to obtain your permits. Costs for a licence is currently $35.00 per person. The Minitry offices are located in the Government Administrative Building in Road Town.

Please note that fishing without a licence may result in your arrest, confiscation of the yacht you have chartered and all belongings aboard your vessel!
