BVI Music Fest Photos There were many bands and other forms of entertainment during the three day Music Festival in Cane Garden Bay! There was a fashion show, a sand castle building contest and DJ Commodore kept the tunes flowing when the live bands were on break. Some of the bands were able to take time out for a little sightseeing! Big Daddy Gillespie, Sharon Paige and a few other members of Harold Melvin's Blue Notes enjoyed dinner out at Coco Plums Restaurant in Capoon's Bay on Tortola's north shore.
There was lots of fun on the beach as music fest goers built sand castles and watched the fashion show!
Introduced as just "Andy", I later found out this young man's name is Andy George and he is a BV Islander! Andy performed only one (very beautiful) song and the crowd loved him! I expect we'll be seeing more of him in the years to come!
Local singing legend, Quito Rymer did not take part in the 2005 Music Fest but was close at hand enjoying the music, tending to his restaurant clientele and schmoozing with the crowd. Hopefully we'll see him in the 2006 Music Festival!
DJ Commodore did a fabulous job keeping the daily events on track and after the last song had been sung, exhausted event organizer, Frank Mahoney still managed to smile!
